Dextools price alerts by channel, plan, and price condition

Dextools price alerts notify you when a selected trading pair meets a configured price condition, with delivery channels linked to plan features. Free access includes desktop alerts; Standard adds email and Telegram price alerts, and Premium includes Standard features. Free access also includes Telegram price bots, a separately named feature. Choose the pair and delivery channel together. A useful notification needs to concern the market you intend to monitor and reach a destination you actually use.

Desktop alerts versus email and Telegram

When desktop notifications cover your monitoring needs, the Free plan supplies that channel without a subscription. Standard adds email and Telegram price alerts for receiving messages through those services. Premium inherits the Standard feature set. Compare these options by destination first: a desktop notification, an email inbox, and a Telegram conversation occupy different places in your routine.

Email and Telegram make the destination account part of the choice. An email alert belongs in an inbox you monitor; a Telegram alert needs its notification delivery configured. Access to a channel and readiness to receive messages are separate requirements. A plan entitlement alone does not confirm receipt on a particular device. Choose a destination whose notification settings fit how you will notice the message. This avoids paying for a channel you rarely use while leaving the price threshold itself unchanged.

Pair selection sets the alert's market

A pair-specific alert concerns the selected market, so identify the network, token contract, and pool before choosing its price condition. A token can trade through several pools, each with its own trading activity and liquidity. Its name alone cannot distinguish those markets or unrelated tokens sharing a ticker. Pair Explorer brings the selected pool's price chart, volume, swap history, and liquidity into the same view. A message about another pool may describe a different price event from the one you wanted to monitor.

Does a price alert execute a trade?

A price alert sends a notification when its configured condition occurs; it does not itself place a buy or sell order. Limit orders and trading bots are separate trading functions with their own controls. Choosing email or Telegram delivery therefore addresses how you receive information. It does not define an order size, authorize a swap, or reserve an execution price.

Preparing the pair and notification channel

Suppose you want to follow the same pair and target through either desktop notifications or Standard messaging. The comparison assumes your chosen channel is available under your plan. Prepare its notification delivery before creating the threshold alert. The alert needs to report the intended pair's price event at that destination.

Stage Alert action Required match
Identify the market Open the intended trading pair in Pair Explorer. The network, contract, and pool match the market you want to follow.
Prepare delivery Configure a notification channel available under your plan. The destination is ready to receive the selected channel's messages.
Set the price condition Create an alert for a price above or below your chosen level. The threshold and direction match the event you want to monitor.
Receive the notification Read the message sent when the configured condition occurs. The received alert concerns the intended pair and price condition.

If the chart appears to meet the condition and no message arrives, the chart alone does not establish successful delivery. Revisit the destination and notification configuration. A message about a different pair does not confirm the intended market met your price condition. Keep the market selection constant when assessing the channel, so a pool mismatch does not obscure whether delivery worked.

How does a target price differ from a percentage move?

A target-price alert watches a chosen price level, while a percentage move needs a reference price against which to measure change. Above and below describe the threshold condition's direction. They do not define the starting point for a percentage calculation. Identify the condition the alert control actually offers before treating the two requests as equivalent.

A rolling percentage change and a fixed target can describe different events even when they concern the same pair. The reference point moves with a rolling comparison; a chosen price threshold remains the level you entered. Neither the delivery channel nor the subscription tier supplies that missing reference point.

Holding DEXT or subscribing for message delivery

Standard offers a holding route and a monthly subscription route for its listed features, including email and Telegram price alerts. These entry options involve different commitments. Decide whether you need eligibility through holdings or a monthly payment before comparing Premium's broader membership benefits.

Standard entry requirements

Qualifying holdings

The advertised Standard holding threshold is 1,000 DEXT. Connecting the wallet holding those tokens lets you access holder benefits. DEXT is the platform's utility token; its balance supplies the eligibility condition here. That requirement concerns access to the alert features. It does not mean the trading pair you monitor must contain DEXT, because price notifications can concern other trading pairs.

Monthly payment

The advertised monthly Standard subscription costs $19.90, paid in DEXT. The dollar amount states the subscription price, while DEXT identifies the payment asset. Compare the monthly subscription with the holding requirement using their actual units: a subscription price and an eligible token balance represent different commitments.

Premium alerts and group membership

The advertised Premium holding requirement is 100,000 DEXT. Premium includes the Standard plan's price-alert features. Email and Telegram access therefore already appears at Standard level. Premium's additional membership benefits belong to a wider decision than choosing those delivery channels.

Standard's DEXT Force private group has a holders-only condition. A monthly subscription grants another way to access Standard alert features, while joining that group follows its separate holding requirement. Participation in a holders' chat and delivery of personal price alerts serve different purposes. Group membership does not configure a pair's threshold or notification destination.

Telegram price bots and personal threshold notifications

Telegram appears in both the Free and Standard feature sets, through separately named bot and price-alert features. Free access includes Telegram price bots; Standard includes Telegram price alerts alongside email. For a personal threshold notification, the relevant details are the pair, the price condition, and the destination. The 21 June 2023 Price Bot guide describes on-demand price requests in Telegram groups or channels where the bot is an administrator. Replies can include charts. A threshold alert sends a message when its configured price condition occurs.

Messages outside the chart window can expose a watched pair through previews on shared devices. Choose destination accounts and preview settings suitable for that information. Delivery to an inbox or conversation also differs from seeing a notification on a particular screen. Configure the receiving service so its messages remain noticeable under your normal device settings.

Dextools price alerts: frequently asked questions

Can Dextools price alerts arrive by SMS?

SMS is among the price-notification delivery types, although the tier comparison does not assign it a specific plan entitlement. Email and in-app delivery also appear among these notification options. Use SMS where your account's notification setup offers it; Standard's advertised email and Telegram benefits alone do not establish SMS eligibility.

Is an in-app price notification the same as a phone push notification?

In-app delivery alone does not establish background push delivery to a phone. Dextools has Android and iOS apps, but app availability and a particular notification channel are separate capabilities. Receiving a message outside the open app requires that delivery option and device settings allowing it.

Does the mobile widget replace a configured price alert?

No. Dextools' 13 March 2024 recap describes both favorites viewing and alerts at chosen price levels under Favorites and Alerts Widget for iOS and Android. A visible favorite does not confirm an alert is active or a message has arrived. The alert still needs a configured price condition and notification delivery.

Which quote applies to a swap after a price alert arrives?

A subsequent swap has its own quote and execution conditions, independent of the alert threshold. Trade amount, available liquidity, and routing shape the proposed quote. A notification does not reserve liquidity at its trigger price. Review the live quote and transaction conditions before authorizing a subsequent swap.

Can a price notification establish whether a token is secure?

A threshold notification reports a price event, without establishing a token's security. Contract details, holder distribution, liquidity, and audit findings address different risks. An upward price move alone does not explain why trading activity changed or resolve weaknesses in those areas.
